The Parks at
Upper Soda Springs
Through a combination of private and public efforts, the State of California,
City of Dunsmuir, and local civic groups have been acquiring and developing parcels of the historic Upper Soda Springs property (above), and creating new parks.
This process is continuing, and when completed, will extend from Dunsmuir's current City Park downriver for nearly a half-mile. These new parks will help tell the stories of all the peoples who have passed through Upper Soda Springs and who have lived there. In addition, the Parks will bring alive the rich natural heritage of the
Upper Sacramento River and the Siskiyou Trail.
